The 2018 edition of the Tempest World Championship was held from the 9th of June till the 6th of July 2018 at Attersee, Austria
Christian Spranger and Christopher Kopp from Germany became World Champions for the first time, followed by Frank Weigelt and Christian Rusitschka (also from Germany) and the Swiss Team Cornelia and Ruedi Christen
Christian Spranger is the first Tempest sailor to become World Champion both as crew (in 1999) and now as helmsman
